Panic over mystery men in Nairobi sewer tunnels

There was panic and confusion on Mama Ngina Street in Nairobi after people were heard calling for help from underground sewer tunnels, but ‘disappeared’ when the police and emergency crews  were called in.

People on the street say they heard voices from the manholes but when they tried to open the covers, the people inside started splashing them with sewer water.

“I was just walking and then I heard someone calling for help from this sewerage.  So people asked him ‘where are you’ and he answered ‘I am inside this sewage tank help me’. When we tried to help he disappeared. It was at around 12.10pm,” a city resident who witnessed the incident on Mama Ngina Street Capital FM News.

When this reporter arrived at the scene, people were busy looking for tools to open the sewer.  At the same time, the City Council of Nairobi and police were trying to open a second manhole near the Dedan Kimathi monument where the people were initially heard calling for help.

“When we opened the manhole, the guys ran away! They had a small torch.  They were calling for our help but when we tried to help them they started splashing us with the sewer water. Then the police came and now after they opened the manholes, those guys have taken off,” a trader who operates a shop opposite the monument said.

“You can’t know what plan these people have when they are in this sewer line.  We don’t know what they are up to.  We cannot feel safe… in fact, I m going home now,” he added.

“It is dangerous given the state (of terror threats) we are in. this is busy place.  The government should tell us whether we are safe or not. People are underground!  The government should address us,” the residents demanded.

The police at the scene who refused to be interviewed about the incident said they did not see anyone but said they were responding to Kenyans who called for help.  “We did not see anyone when we opened the sewer.”

However a city council worker who was opening the sewer near the monument said.  “They were shining torches and talking to us but they disappeared when we started opening the sewer.”

Richard Chacha Paralysed after Maai Mahiu car crash?? sad :-((

Word on the street has it that NTV's senior political reporter is paralysed from waist downwards.  For a while now, Richard Chacha has been admitted at the Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

This follows a tragic accident that he was involved in near Rift Valley’s Mai Mahiu town in the company of  Emmanuel Taalam, Linus Kaikai, NMG’s Ephantus Mwangi and Frida Kirema.

The journalists are said to have been headed to NTV’s Managing Editor Linus Kaikai’s hometown for a fundraiser in Kilgoris County. Apparently, the vehicle they were all travelling in had a tyre burst thus rolling severally on the ground.  

The impact of the accident left Richard unconscious. He sustained grave head injuries and his legs were seriously wounded. Immediately, Chacha, Emmanuel Talam and Linus  Kaikai were airlifted to Nairobi.

Frida and Ephantus were taken by road as their injuries were not as severe. The Prime Minister paid Chacha a visit at the Nairobi hospital depicting their close relationship. Linus was among the first to be discharged from hospital. 

Our sources claim that he was shocked beyond belief when he tried moving his legs but they could not bulge. He claimed that he couldn’t feel them at all. Tears rolled down his face when he realize it may take time to walk again or never and though his close friends tried consoling him with positive messages, this is the saddest fact Chacha has had to face.

The young girl is such a star; she became an overnight star after she was featured on Jeff Koinange’s Capital talk. She is a cancer survivor and she has soo much optimism, she makes us that complain about flus looks like douche bags.
Now, a lot was done for Rose’s wellbeing, a pay bill number was set-up, her track was flying off the systems, a lot of money was raised for the strong little angel

But with all things good, there is always one idiot out to spoil it, on this one; her own mother was the idiot. As soon as the money started following, she became a bit ambitious with everything, her weaves, her clothing and of course her drinking, she was even throwing RAOS!!

As this was going on, none of the lovely folks in the media cared to alert Kenyans, HEY, she’s living large with your donations, she then decided to move to the UK ‘cause treatment there was cheaper, but shit has hit the fan for her in the UK, the white man she was ‘living in’ kicked her, Rose and her step brother out of his house. They’re now in a refuge, Rose is still doing her chemo sessions .

Now, the mother is a poster child for GREED … does she even want her kid to even get better? Frankly I don’t think so, how will she GET MONEY? You know this lady is also a bit thick, you move in with a white man, agree to raise his child (She didn’t bear the young boy, the young boy’s mother passed away when he was born) he then kicks you OUT and leaves you with an extra kid???

She’s also using Rose’s Facebook page to gain sympathy! SOMEONE TIE HER TUBES! This is nonsense, driving all those ‘Stans’ on Facebook to believe that Rose was updating that stuff. HOW DOES SHE SLEEP at night? Phoebe, if you’re reading this, you’ve failed as a mother! You made choices to BENEFIT YOURSELF and you’re making your sweet little girl suffer in a foreign country ‘cause of your nonsense!! #Word!
